Accountant - Phoenix, AZ

Job Description:

The Accountant assists in overseeing the management and reporting of financial data and ensuring compliance with financial reporting procedures for the organization. 

The Accountant responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage client and vendor invoicing

  • Calculate, review and report sales commission payments

  • Manage the payroll function for W2 employees and 1099 contractors

  • Manage state registration requirements

  • Gather year-end tax documents

  • Assist with general accounting responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience in general accounting required

  • Familiar with various payroll processing companies – Paylocity a plus

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks) required

  • Highly proficient in Excel

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Associate or BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree is a plus
