Danielle Smith, Director of Operations
As Director of Operations at IronRod Health, Danielle’s focus is on commercial aspects of the business, including Sales Operations, Business Development, Vendor Relations and Customer Success.
Danielle’s career in the healthcare industry spans nearly 20 years and includes leadership positions in both Sales and Operations. It began with an 11-year post at Cardinal Health, where Danielle was named Sales Consultant of the Year multiple times. She later attained the position of Executive Director at Antigua Medical Services, where she improved profitability through P&L management, reducing vendor and labor costs while increasing sales. Just prior to Danielle’s tenure at IronRod, she served as Director of Business Development at Cardiac Imaging Inc., where she launched three new markets and established both the Customer Success and Account Management teams.
Andrew Nash, Founder and CEO
Andrew Nash is the CEO of IronRod Health, and leads the company with a unique combination of vision, drive and industry knowledge. Andrew is a CRM industry veteran and a serial entrepreneur with a number of successful companies to his credit. These include Certified Medical Billing and Coding, which provides specialized billing services for cardiology and EP practices; Heart Rhythm Academy, the only state-licensed cardiac device training institution in the western US; and Set Solution, an independent CRM sales organization. Andrew has consistently been one of the top sales reps in the industry, working for both Biotronik and Boston Scientific.
Andrew’s passion is to help people by delivering better healthcare at lower cost, and he launched IronRod Health in January 2017 to that end. The company represents the culmination of Andrew’s extensive industry experience, combining technology, relationships and in-the-trenches know-how to create a truly innovative business model.
Andrew earned a BA in Economics from Brigham Young University, while also playing four years of collegiate football for BYU as a defensive end. He also holds an MBA in Finance from the BYU Marriott School of Management.
Thomas Mattioni, M.D., Medical Director
Dr. Mattioni has been practicing clinical cardiac electrophysiology in Arizona since 1991 and is regarded as a leading authority and innovator in the research and practice of electrophysiology. Dr. Mattioni has been the principal investigator in many research protocols studying promising new devices and medications for arrhythmias, many of which are in widespread use today. He brings this same spirit of innovation to his work with IronRod Health, offering unique insights that have been integrated into the company’s offerings.
Dr. Mattioni is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society and is the Director of Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia services at Scottsdale Healthcare.
Lisa Garrett, Director of Human Resources
Lisa Garrett joined IronRod Health in June of 2020 as the Director of Human Resources. Lisa has a Bachelors of Science in Business with a concentration in Management from the University of Phoenix. Lisa brought extensive healthcare expertise to IronRod Health, including medical device, hospital, long-term care, physician practice, dialysis, and behavioral health experience.
Mathew Harrison, Chief Operating Officer
Mathew Harrison is the Chief Operating Officer at IronRod Health.
Over the past 17 years, Mathew has built a career focused on transforming teams and companies through strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement. He knows the importance of delivering a superior customer experience through lessons he learned while serving clients/partners in management consulting, investment banking, and at American Express. Most recently, he led the transformation of a genetic testing company that was subsequently acquired by a public company. After the acquisition, he ran the subsidiary until leaving to join IronRod Health.
Mathew has an MBA from the BYU Marriott School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Michael Flint, Chief Financial Officer
Michael brings a breadth of experience with over 21 years of financial and management experience, including Audit, Corporate Controller and VP of Finance positions.
After graduating with his Masters of Accountancy from Brigham Young University, Michael joined Ernst & Young’s audit practice, where he advanced to the position of Senior Audit Manager prior to his departure in 2008 when he joined a SaaS company in Utah as the VP of Treasury and SEC Reporting.
Michael then took his experience to a consumer products company in Utah, where he participated as a member of the management team as the VP of Internal Audit and, later, VP of Budgeting and Forecasting. Michael was a key member of the company’s acquisition team and was instrumental in performing due diligence and integration work relating to several acquisitions. Upon the successful sale of the company to a foreign conglomerate, Michael moved on to a Utah hosted communications company as the VP of Finance, where he served as a member of the senior management team.
Michael has a very strong background in the areas of financial modeling and forecasting, financial reporting, process improvement and automation, technical accounting compliance (including revenue recognition and equity accounting), cash flow analysis, profitability analysis, accounting systems, and higher-level strategic decision making.
As a CFO, Michael views himself as a strategic thinker—not just “the numbers guy.”
